The nail fashion right now dictates that it definitely should not show that you have artificial nails, but even if “acrylic” sounds ever so unglamorous this kind of help will always be tender nails best friend.

The thing is that if it is fake make sure it shows that it is. This is a genre that we won’t get further into today though, instead we will stick to tips on a modern cool look.

For a nail to be perceived as elegant the length should not be more than a third of the original nail. Shorter is ok but definitely not longer.

A good rule of thumb is that one layer too many can get even the most exclusive nail polish to look cheap. This does vary though so you have to test and see what looks best on your nails. As always preparation is a virtue! Keep the nails tidy, don´t be shy of using the glass file every now and then and sort the base out with a nurturing and strengthening base.
