The Royal Opera and the Royal Ballet want to reach out to a wider audience and one of the activities they have to reach this target is to have performances in the windows of department store NK in Stockholm. The performances will take place three Saturdays in a row and will be on the theme fashion.
“If you look closer at ballet you see that it is not only music and dance but also fashion, art and sport. These are things our target groups consume today but don’t expect from ballet. The dancers make daily performances on the same level as top athletes”, says Malin Forkman, Marketing Manager at the Royal Opera. “We want to get more people to understand how relevant ballet is to them”.
Saturday November 1 is the first performance day. These will be held in two of NK´s shopping windows by the main entrance. Times are 11.00 – 11.30 and 13.00 – 13.30. The clothes come from NK man and Diesel.
